Due to rising inflation, the prices of chicken and eggs are continuously increasing. The Market Committee Lahore has fixed the rate of farm chicken at Rs 453 per kg while issuing the rates for October 24, 2025.
The rates of live chicken at Rs 285 per kg and indigenous live chicken at Rs 299 remained unchanged, while a dozen eggs have reached Rs 329.
According to experts, the increase in food, feed and transportation costs has increased the cost of the poultry sector, the impact of which is being directly borne by consumers.
