State Bank of Pakistan Announce First Ramadan Holiday as Holy Month Begins

Commercial banks across Pakistan are observing their first public holiday in connection with the start of Ramadan, following the official announcement of the holy month’s commencement. The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) confirmed that all public and private sector banks will remain closed for public dealing on the first Ramadan bank holiday, in line with the federal government’s notification.
According to officials at the State Bank of Pakistan, the holiday is being observed to facilitate smooth transition into Ramadan working hours and allow banking staff to manage operational adjustments. However, online banking services, ATMs, and digital payment platforms remain fully functional to ensure uninterrupted financial transactions for customers across the country.
