In a major reform in the education system of Punjab, all boards have increased the examination opportunities for students, which is being described as a big convenience for students.
Under the new policy, now those students who are unable to pass the exam will get the opportunity to take the exam a maximum of six times. Earlier, this limit was limited to four opportunities.
This system will be implemented from the 2024 annual examinations and will be applicable to all educational levels, including Matriculation, Intermediate, O Level and A Level.
According to the policy, students taking additional opportunities will have to take the exams under the existing syllabus. Similarly, the same principle will also apply to students who want to improve in additional subjects after passing.
According to education experts, this decision will reduce exam pressure on students and provide them with more opportunities to improve their performance.
Officials say the move is in line with modern educational trends and aims to provide students with a more flexible and supportive learning environment.
