Punjab Traffic Police has taken an important decision to end the ongoing negligence on the roads and protect the citizens. The traffic police has strictly warned drivers who do not use indicators (turn signals) to make it mandatory to use turn signals while driving, otherwise they will face strict action as per the law.
Indicator: A small act, big safety
According to a spokesperson for the Punjab Traffic Police, one of the major reasons for the increasing accidents on the roads is the irresponsible behaviour of drivers and not using indicators. Officials said that when a driver suddenly takes a turn or changes lanes and does not signal, the vehicles and motorcyclists coming from behind do not get timely information, which leads to dangerous accidents.
Traffic rules: For your safety
According to the police, traffic rules are not made only for fines but also to protect the lives and property of citizens. Using the indicator is a simple but very important action that can save many lives. It is the common responsibility of all of us to follow traffic rules, which ensures our own safety and that of others.
Strict action and awareness campaign
The authorities added that unfortunately, most citizens ignore this simple but important rule, due to which the accident rate is increasing. The traffic police made it clear that no leniency will be shown for this violation in the future. According to the spokesperson, along with the awareness campaign, action will also be taken against those violating the law to attract citizens towards safe driving.
