Pakistan’s currency market is witnessing steady activity today, as foreign currencies connected with overseas employment are maintaining stable levels in the open market. Continuous remittances from Pakistani workers abroad are helping the rupee stay balanced despite global economic pressures.
The US Dollar is continuing to trade in a narrow range, with a buying rate of Rs. 280.70 and a selling rate of Rs. 282.35. Businesses are using the greenback for import payments, while digital workers are earning through international platforms and contributing to foreign exchange inflows.
Across the Gulf region, remittance-linked currencies are showing strong consistency. The Saudi Riyal stands at Rs. 74.85 buying and Rs. 75.35 selling, and the UAE Dirham is moving at Rs. 76.50 for buying and Rs. 77.30 for selling. Workers in construction, healthcare, transport, and retail sectors across the Middle East are continuing to send money regularly, offering steady financial support to their families in Pakistan.
The Omani Riyal remains one of the most valuable currencies, trading at Rs. 728.20 buying and Rs. 737.72 selling, providing stronger rupee conversions and better savings potential for recipients.
Meanwhile, Pakistani communities in the United Kingdom and Canada are also playing a key role. The British Pound is trading at Rs. 387.33 and Rs. 391.83, while the Canadian Dollar is exchanging at Rs. 206.05 and Rs. 209.61, respectively. These currencies are supporting students, professionals, and families managing expenses back home.
Market observers note that steady foreign inflows are creating confidence in the rupee’s position. With remittances continuing and exchange rates showing limited volatility, the open market is presenting a picture of cautious stability.
For now, overseas Pakistanis are continuing to strengthen the country’s economy, proving once again that remittance-linked currencies remain a lifeline for millions of households.
